HubSpot contacts CSV template: what to include

Minimum required columns

• email — required by HubSpot; must be valid for every row
• firstname
• lastname
• phone
• company

Additional useful columns

• jobtitle
• lifecyclestage — must match HubSpot's accepted values
• hs_lead_status
• hubspot_owner_id — for owner assignment

Header formatting tips

• Keep headers lowercase and consistent to reduce mapping friction.
• Avoid spaces in header names — use underscores where needed.
• Headers must be unique; duplicate column names break the mapping step.
